Are there anymore "60 Minute" photo places out there, and if so, I wonder how much film they are actually developing compared to digital...
For one thing, digital cameras let the photographer review shots as they are taken to see what is working and what failed. Just like that, like it or delete it, takes seconds. This allows us to take more creative chances with the camera, try out al kinds of new techniques that we just watched on Youtube. Also help refine our picture-taking methods on-the-fly until successful shots are captured. In the good ol' days of film-only shooting a photographer had to wait until their shots came back from processing, and your mom could bring you to Walgreens, only to find out exactly how the camera was seeing things when the shutter was clicked and then it was to late.
Good new for our wallets
Another perk of digital media is that you don't have to pay for film and developing costs for all of the photos that you take, all 1,000 of them! This may not seem like a big deal if you are Peter Mckinnon who rarely takes a shot that doesn't come out as planned, but for the rest of us, this means that all of a sudden we have at our fingertips a mdeium that does not ask us to pay for crappy pics!
