Let's Talk Local Photography Locations
I'm giving away all my secret spots, if you ever see any of my photos posts and wonder where I took them, well chances are it's on this list. People alway ask me where to go to get that perfect shot, so here is my personal list of favorite spots. I'll get to every location in the Palm Beaches but for now I'll start with Jupiter.
JUPITER FL: Photography Hot Spot Locations
• Blowing Rocks: TIP: Get there early, coffee to go early and don't forget to bring your patients, wait for the sunrise. I go here ofter and usually get distracted or anxious and lose focus, but I love it. This is the #1 Hot Spot for engagement or family photos in my personal opinion. The rocks on the beach really make this place unique, and the color of the ocean here is usually always on point.
Blowing Rocks Preserve is an environmental preserve on Jupiter Island in Hobe Sound, Martin County, Florida, USA. It is owned by The Nature Conservancy. It contains the largest Anastasia limestone outcropping on the state's east coast.
Address: 574 S Beach Rd, Hobe Sound, FL 33455
• Jonathan Dickinson State Park: TIP: Bring a tent and stay the night. Plenty of trails and so much to see. Make sure you have your camera ready for the Overlook Tower. It's not a far hike and not to many stairs, but when you get to the top... I don't want to spoil it, get your camera and go, send me pics.
Jonathan Dickinson State Park is a Florida State Park and historic site located in Martin County, Florida, between Hobe Sound and Tequesta. The park includes the Elsa Kimbell Environmental Education and Research Center and a variety of natural habitats: sand pine scrub, pine flat woods, mangroves, and river swamps. Wikipedia
Address: 16450 SE Federal Hwy, Hobe Sound, FL 33455
• DuBois Park: First, pack some charcoal and plan on spending the day. The DuBois House is really amazing but the inlet is where you'll get those Instagram pics! It's like a lazy river, and if you hit it at the right time, and the tide is just right with the perfect color turquoise, BAM, nothing else quite like it.
Jetty on a lagoon with beach frontage features swimming, boat slips & a playground.
Address: 19075 Dubois Rd, Jupiter, FL 33477
• Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse: Don't take out your camera right yet, take the tour, climb up 100 stairs and then you'll see...
The Jupiter Inlet Light is located in Jupiter, Florida, on the north side of the Jupiter Inlet. The site for the lighthouse was chosen in 1853. It is located between Cape Canaveral Light and Hillsboro Inlet Light. The lighthouse was designed by then Lieutenant George G. Meade of the Bureau of Topographical Engineers.
Address: 500 Captain Armours Way, Jupiter, FL 33469
• Main Street Abacoa: Have you ever seen a Hallmark movie with a small town that has everything, well this is the place. Photo opportunities at every corner. Roger Dean Baseball stadium, concerts, bars, parks, events, micro breweries, restaurants and lights.
It's well lite at night for some really romantic photo settings and so much more. Reach out to me, we'll meet up to go over the rest.
Downtown Abacoa. Old “Main Street” charm, classic design and a relaxed atmosphere give this Jupiter destination a true community feel.
Home to some of the area’s best shopping, dining, entertainment and professional businesses, the newly renovated Downtown Abacoa has become a family and date night favorite. Whether you’re looking for social outings or a place to unwind, we have something for everyone.
Address: 1200 Town Center Drive, Jupiter, Fl 3348
• Busch Wildlife: Animals... up close and personal. Bring a back up card cause you'll be taking a lot of photos here. It's not a huge zoo, it's a refuge, so it's quiet and you can stay and fall in love with all the animals. Furry Friends is right down the street if after seeing these amazing creatures you feel like adopting one yourself.
Refuge & nature center for Florida wildlife with kid-friendly trails through woods & wetlands.
Address: 2500 Jupiter Park Dr, Jupiter, FL 33458
• Loxahatchee River Battlefield: Get out of you car and just start to walk. I've been here a number of times and the environment is always changing and growing. If you need a shot that's out in the wild, vintage Florida from what I used to remember as a kid, this is the place.
Riverbend Park is a 680-acre park in the Jupiter Farms section of Jupiter, in Palm Beach County, Florida. The area includes the Riverbend Regional Park Historic District with Indian middens and a preserved battlefield from the Seminole War at the Loxahatchee River Battlefield Park adjacent to
Address: 9060 W Indiantown Rd, Jupiter, FL 33478
• Juno Beach Pier: This is where you'll find famous YouTubers filming fishing vlogs. The pier extends almost 1,000 feet out, it's amazing. I see some really amazing time lapse photos of the pier from the beach perspective but not to many on it. We need more, take some, send them to me, let's see who can capture the next big catch.
Address: 14775 US-1, Juno Beach, FL 33408
• Jupiter beach: Any time, day or nite, you can't go wrong. I personally lived in the Estuary, so I had the opportunity to experience everything that this beach has to offer. Picture perfect sun rises, sun sets, storms, waves, starts, full moons, sea turtles and so much more. Bring wipes for your camera lens, the salty wind is always blowing.
Beachfront park featuring a guarded swimming area, sand volleyball courts, fishing & picnic sites.
Address: 1375 Jupiter Beach Road, Jupiter, FL 33477
• Train Bridge: What do you mean... Oh, an actual train that cross an inlet that has a draw bridge that goes up and down? Hold my beer, need this pic! Get here before its gone, It might be me but I find this so cool.
The train tracks adjacent to the Loxahatchee River Bridge (located along Alternate A1A) will undergo significant reconstruction for reinforcement as part of the Virgin Trains (also known as Brightline) expansion of its high-speed rail project
• Square Grouper/Guanabanas: Cheers, saving the best for last because once you get to this location it's most to be your last. Great food and drinks and the most photographic bar/restaurant's in Jupiter, hands down. At Square Grouper you have the inlet and Light House keeping you company the entire nite, and Guanabanas, just go, you can pull up with your boat or paddle board if you want, so no excuse. I don't think I've ever seen a bad photo taken from either of these locations.
Laid-back, open-air marina bar offering tropical drinks, bar eats & live music by the water.
