How to boost your 3 C's: Creative, Composition and Conceptual skills! 1. Point of View

Where you stand can change everything, take a photo, stop, look around then change your viewpoint of your subject or the scene before moving on. I personally snap a few pics in the "Safe Zone" then change my perspective and take a few more. The "Safe Zone" is the comfy shot, the picture you know is safe and captured before something moves or changes. Look for vantage points, with different surrounding elements in the background and shadows of light that will add or subtract from your subject. Don't worry, you are shooting digital, take 10, 20 or 100 shots, that's what the trash bin is for. (Don't ever delete from your camera BTW). Most of all, take your time, rarely does your first POV ever come out as intended.
